Qstream AI FAQs

How does Qstream offer AI capabilities?
AI is built into the Qstream authoring tool. Qstream’s AI Author Assistant uses clients’ existing training materials to create science-backed microlearning courses that are engaging to learners and promote optimal knowledge retention based on our best practices. For more information on how this process works, please watch this short video.

Who can use the Qstream AI Author Assistant?
Qstream’s AI Author Assistant is available to all clients. The Qstream Services Team is available to train clients on the capability and answer questions about the capability.

What are the benefits of using Qstream’s AI Author Assistant?
Unlike traditional training interventions that take weeks to months to build, Qstream’s Author Assistant creates ready-to-launch microlearning courses in minutes.

Does Qstream’s Author Assistant incorporate Qstream’s proven science and best practices?
Yes, Qstream designed its AI experience to incorporate the company’s proven scientific method and associated Services best practices. Qstream’s AI Author Assistant uses generative capabilities to deconstruct text provided and reassemble it in the Qstream format (i.e., microlearning, scenario-based questions, video scenarios, fill in the blank and associated explanations). Qstream’s Software and Services Team collaborated to adapt the model to this purpose and then successfully tested the resulting capabilities with early clients.

What material and information are used to create microlearning courses?
Users can upload one or more source documents in a variety of formats or directly add information using the authoring interface. Authors can input text prompts, upload documentation and add additional context and controls before drafting courses, including language, skill level, target audience, learning outcomes and behavioral outcomes. Based on these inputs, Qstream’s AI Author Assistant delivers a ready-to-launch microlearning course that’s infused with our scientifically proven brain science principles to make knowledge stick.

Is the information we share with Qstream used to train an AI model?
No, any information you provide will not be used to train an AI model. OpenAI, Qstream’s AI provider, does not use the contents submitted via the Enterprise API to train its models, which is critical to protect the privacy of information submitted. Qstream has enabled a Zero Data Retention option offered by OpenAI. “Zero Data Retention (ZDR) means that once a request is processed, no input (prompt), output (response), or metadata is persistently stored by OpenAI. The data exists only in memory for the duration of the request and is never written to logs or databases. This option is designed for high-security use cases where maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive data is paramount.
